Julie Gondar, esq.
Owner & Attorney
Hello! I am Julie, attorney and owner of the law firm. Over the years I have built a unique set of skills that have prepared me to give my clients the best, wholistic, encompassing, personalized approach to their issues, focusing on estate planning, tax, finance, business and corporate transactions. Directly prior to the creation of my firm in early 2020, I was the Director of a local wealth management firm, specializing in comprehensive wealth strategies and growth development. I spent a few years as an Associate Attorney at Hinman Straub in Albany, NY, focusing on healthcare, joint ventures and business transactions. Prior to Hinman Straub, and during law school and immediately after, I worked for a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, where I worked with high net worth clients preparing estate and financial plans.
I am a proud cum laude graduate of the State University at Albany, class of 2011. I obtained a BA in Public Policy with a concentration in Public Administration. During my studies at SUNY, I held internships at the NYS Assembly and lobbying firms, and was active
in state wide
student government serving as the SUNY statewide Student President and held a voting seat
on the SUNY Board of Trustees representing over 450,000 students.
In 2015, I graduated Albany Law School, cum laude. I obtained the first doctoral degree in my family. While in law school, I held internships at the NYS Office
of the
Attorney General and AYCO, served as a research assistant, and was a member of the
Albany Law’s Clinic and Justice Center Litigation Clinic representing clients under a student
practicing order in their unemployment insurance appeal claims. I was also a
member of
the Albany Government Law Review serving on the executive board as the Managing Editor
for the Review’s online journal.
I currently am a Director for the University at Albany Alumni Association, sitting on the governance and finance committees, I am on several NYSBA committees, and the Estate Planning Council of New York. I enjoy pro-bono work, and most recently volunteered during the pandemic, assisting clients in their unemployment insurance appeals.
I live in the Capital District with my two cats, I enjoy nature, playing my flute, crafts and anything creative!
